Michael Ware, Back in Baghdad

Larry King has an exclusive first interview with Asif Ali Zardari, President of Pakistan,
that will air tonight --  Tuesday, December 2, 2008 -- for Larry King Live at 9pm (ET).

Michael Ware is back in Baghdad, and was commenting today on the reports that P-E Obama will keep Robert Gates on as SecDef. He was on American Morning (Domestic) and World News Asia (International) during the 8amET hour, then on NewsRoom (Dom) and Your World Today (Int) during the 10amET hour. Here are the clips:

American Morning:

World News Asia:

Your World Today [This clip is only available on]:

Prior to leaving, Michael took part in one of the AC360 "Extreme Challenges" specials, this one titled "President Obama." The program aired during the wee hours of Friday morning, but the terrorist attack in Mumbai overwhelmed other scheduled airings. But in these three segments, Michael, Peter Bergen, Christiane Amanpour, and David Gergen are the panelists.

Segment 1 -- Iraq:

Segment 2 -- Afghanistan:

Segment 3 -- Iran:

Hopefully this special will get another chance, because there were some great discussions at the map table, as always.

But it's great to see Michael back in Baghdad and to be hearing his reports from the field again!
