The Hairless Profit of Doom

Sometimes I think we need to rename our blog to All Things CNN & Jon Stewart. JS was at it again on Thursday night. This time his target was the lovable Ali Velshi. Enjoy!

Ali was back, after the break, giving us a peek at his softer, fluffier side. Please Mr. Velshi never, ever consider growing hair. In the famous words of Telly Savalas "Bald is beautiful, baby".

CNN announced its lineup for the North Carolina and Indiana Primaries on Tuesday. Here's a portion of their press release.

CNN to Offer Comprehensive Indiana and North Carolina Primary Coverage

CNN’s political team will report live from the CNN Election Center and across Indiana and North Carolina when Democratic voters there go to the polls for these critical primaries on Tuesday, May 6. CNN journalists and analysts will be on-hand throughout the day to report the results and what it means for the presidential campaigns.

CNN’s special prime-time programming will begin at 7 p.m., following wall-to-wall politics on The Situation Room, and will run late into the night. Lead political anchor Wolf Blitzer will direct the coverage and be joined by anchors Campbell Brown, Anderson Cooper and Lou Dobbs. CNN anchor and special correspondent Soledad O'Brien and senior political analyst Bill Schneider will review exit poll data. Chief national correspondent John King will again provide in-depth, Indiana and North Carolina-specific data and analysis using the CNN “multi-touch” board, a unique tool that makes complex demographic and delegate data more understandable and accessible.

The coverage will lead into a special edition of Larry King Live at midnight hosted by Larry King. American Morning with John Roberts and Kyra Phillips will be live the following morning from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. with post-election analysis.

In the lead-up to Tuesday, CNN’s correspondents are traveling across Indiana and North Carolina to cover the race. Candy Crowley, Suzanne Malveaux and Jessica Yellin are covering Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama as they make last-minute pitches to the voters. Jim Acosta and Dana Bash will also provide live reports from the trail.

Gloria Borger, senior political analyst; David Gergen, senior political analyst and Jeff Toobin, legal analyst will be on-hand with their insights. CNN’s nationally known contributors, Bill Bennett, Donna Brazile, James Carville, Amy Holmes and Roland Martin will provide commentary, as will CNN’s newest political contributor Tony Snow. Also joining them will be commentators Alex Castellanos, Leslie Sanchez and Jamal Simmons.

Additionally, the CNN Election Express bus will make its way through Indiana and remain in Indianapolis for Election Day. Ballot Bowl will air live from Indianapolis over the weekend, and Issue #1 will be live from that city on Monday, May 5, and Tuesday, May 6.

CNN International will simulcast the special programming on May 6, from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. Patricia Janiot and Daniel Viotto will anchor live coverage for CNN en EspaƱol, starting at 6 p.m. Luis Carlos Velez will review exit poll data. The network’s main correspondent Juan Carlos Lopez will report live from Washington, D.C., with a panel of political analysts.

If you're a regular reader you know that Friday nights are Book Asylum's turf here at ATC. BA is on vacation for the next few weeks so the team will be doing our best to sub for her.
Have a great weekend everyone and we hope to see you back here very soon.

I second the plea -- Ali, lose the roadkill!

So glad Jon "gets" us! LOL
