Reliable Sources

Howard Kurtz has been making the rounds promoting his new book, Reality Show.

Thursday, he discussed the book with Jon Stewart on the Daily Show. To view a video clip of the interview, click here.

So, how does someone who covers the media on their weekly CNN Sunday morning program, cover a new book about the media that he happened to have wrote? Well, on Reliable Sources this morning, Kurtz invited Gail Shister, Frank Sesno, and David Folkenflik to interrogate him about Reality Show. At the end of the broadcast, he decided maybe he needed to take matters into his own hands and interviewed himself.

The University of Rhode Island will be doing an online chat with Christiane Amanpour on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at 11AM ET. The chat is free and open to the public.

URI is honored to list among its alumni CNN Chief International Correspondent Christiane Amanpour, a 1983 summa cum laude graduate with a bachelor of arts in journalism. Christiane Amanpour's exclusive interviews with world leaders, reports on the human consequences of natural disasters, and coverage of events from the heart of war zones, has earned her the reputation as of one of the world's most recognized and respected television journalists. Recently, Amanpour's work was featured in the CNN series "God's Warriors", a documentary exploring religious fundamentalism among Christians, Muslims, and Jews. Please join us online where Ms. Amanpour will take questions about her work, her experiences, and her career.
